Sight Words to PracticeHere are the Sight Words for Week 3/27-3/31 1.) air 2.) along 3.) always 4.) draw 5.) during 6.) ever 7.) meant 8.) nothing 9.) story 10.) won't Every Monday I will send out a new DLIQ paper with a reading log/homework sheet on the back. Each night students must read for 20 minutes and fill out their reading log. I send home 2 guided reading books each week. At the end of the week, if the students completed the reading log each week they receive a "iPad app". When they fill their "iPad" they receive a free book and special treat. In addition to reading, students must practice their weekly sight words and complete their math practice sheet. ReadingRead 20 minutes a day to work on reading fluency and comprehension!
Write down what book you read each day. If you read all week you can buy 1 app for the classroom iPads on the wall :) Work hard and you can even upgrade to an iPad 2! Reading logs are due on Friday! |
MathWe have finished Topic 14 which focused on adding and subtracting money using coins and $1. Now we are starting Topic 15 focusing on measuring.
